Mantra’s client list ranges from million-dollar airlines to UK hotel chains and from worldwide recruitment consultants to local solicitors’ practice – yet the service provided to each is identical.

Mantra started life back in 2003 – but in reality, the seeds of the business were being sown much earlier than that as directors, Neil Jones and Mike Towers, served their time, studied for qualifications and quite simply earned their crust working in marketing, advertising, photography print and, of course, creative design environments.

This accumulation of extensive experience was to be the backbone of Mantra.

NEIL JONES

From an apprentice typesetter to studio manager, Neil has managed to work his way through typical creative departments prior to embarking on the current journey with Mantra. Design, print, artworking and project management are his key strengths within the business – strengths born out of over 22 years in the creative industry.

Neil likes to keep active playing football, swimming, walking and hitting the gym (but not too often!). And if he’s not playing then he’s often at some sporting event or other (following Bolton Wanderers around Europe or the England cricket team around South Africa!), and quite often ‘down the front’ at some live music gig – still living the dream some 20 years after it really happened!!

Travel is definitely up there in his favourite past-times, with recent trips to Helsinki, Dubrovnik, Mostar, Amsterdam, Dublin and Cork added to the many other destinations worldwide he has visited in years gone by – the huge fridge magnet collection can testify to this!

MIKE TOWERS

Mike is most certainly Mantra’s ‘Mr. Versatility’ with a broad skill set in design, photography, web, SEO and Mac-based applications.

His early career path started with awards and qualifications in his chosen median of photography which allowed him to work alongside commercial photographers in Manchester and Cumbria, before heading further afield with overseas shoots during his time working in the travel industry.

He was soon to expand into design, web and SEO and gained invaluable experience at various well-known Manchester agencies prior to finally establishing Mantra.

Outside of work Mike enjoys playing football and mountain biking and has had first hand experience of the ‘trails and tribulations’ of this adrenaline fuelled activity whilst out in Kerala, India. He’s also spent much time in Bali, Thailand and the Far East along with Australia, USA and the Middle East.
